    The Gail Weldon Award of Excellence recognizes one athletic trainer (of any gender) each year who has displayed an exceptional commitment to mentoring, professional development and life balancing for women athletic trainers or significant contributions to improve the health care of females provided by athletic trainers.

  • Fellows Distinction
    NATA Fellow status recognizes members of the association who have demonstrated outstanding professional scholarly achievement in combination with leadership in advancing research and scholarly endeavors in the profession, including the education and scholarly development of trainees. Only the most accomplished scholars contributing to the athletic training profession earn this honor and distinction, and are allowed to use the prestigious designation of "FNATA".
